- What is a Boot Camp?
The term "Boot Camp" is used in the fitness industry to describe group fitness classes that promote fat loss, camaraderie and team effort.
Our boot camp is actually more of a group personal training session. There is no yelling or drill
sergeant approach in our camps! Each individual will get personal attention from a certified
fitness trainer to ensure each person is getting the best workout they can based on their own circumstances.
- How soon will I see results?
Most attendees have seen results within a couple of weeks. All body types are different
and some see results quicker than others. How dramatic of results you see on your body
shape will also depend greatly on how clean and balanced your daily diet is.
If you have a specific goal or event you are training for please discuss it with your trainer.
- What if I am not in shape?
Do not worry about being in shape. All levels of fitness have participated in this boot camp
and been able to dramatically improve their fitness level. Your workout will be designed for
what your body can handle. You will be amazed at how quickly your body gets stronger!
- What can I expect on a typical day at AZ Outdoor Fitness Boot Camp for Women?
Workouts will vary based on each individual’s fitness level and contraindictions.
Workouts generally include body weight exercises, resistance training and some cardio. We really
try to mix it up and keep each session both interesting and challenging.
- How long is a boot camp session?
Each session will last one hour.
- What types of exercises and activities are included in the program?
What exercises you will be performing will be based on your fitness level and any physical issues you may have.
Most boot campers will be doing lunges, squats, pushups, pull ups, resistance training and some
running. Other boot campers not able to run or working with physical impairments such as knee
problems will be doing matt exercises instead.
- What should I bring?
Bring a personal excercise mat, two 8 pound dumbbells and a
bottle of water. Bring heavier weights if you are already active and have been weight training.
If you are unsure of your fitness level you can use the trainer’s weights to gauge what weights will work best
for you going forward.
- Will I be sore?
Yes, you will be sore, for a while :-). How sore you feel will depend on your physical activity
prior to starting boot camp. This is all part of the process of waking up your muscles and getting your
body moving. It is temporary and should only last a few days.
- What if I just want to try the camp before I commit to full registration?
You are free to try one boot camp session at no cost to see if this is a program that will work for you.
- What is your refund policy?
As a general rule there are no refunds, but should there be some unusual circumstances we will be willing to work with you and prorate your boot camp fee refund.
- What if I get sick or miss a class during the time my package is running?
We offer make-up sessions on Sundays or you are welcome to attend one of the other sessions to make-up
for your missed time. Your trainer can also email you a workout program you can do at home
if you are unable to attend a makeup session.
- Is there a location closer to me?
At this time there are only two locations, Mesa Community College for the PM boot camp and Freestone Park
for the AM boot camp. If you have a group of women and would like to start a boot camp at a location
more convenient for you we are always open to starting up new camps.

- What happens in the event of Rain, Monsoon or Dust Storms?
It doesn’t happen too often, but we have had to cancel a few sessions due to weather conditions.
If one of your sessions has to be cancelled an additional session will be added to your package or we
can arrange a Sunday make up session, whichever option works better for you.
- When does next session start?
You can start anytime! Your trainer will keep track of the start and end date of your sessions.
- What are the sizes of boot camp classes?
Generally the classes have been 5 to 6 women per class.
- Where are the camps located and what time is class?
Our bootcamps take place at two locations in the "South-East Valley"
area of Phoenix, Arizona. Our locations are conveniently located and easily accessible to women
