New to Fitness Boot Camps?

The term 'Boot Camp' is currently used in the fitness industry to describe group fitness
classes that promote fat loss, camaraderie and team effort. They are designed to
push people a little bit further than they would normally push themselves in the gym alone.

Boot Camps are often organized outdoors in parks using bodyweight exercises like push ups,
squats, suspension training and burpees, interspersed with running.
The idea is that everyone involved works at their own pace as they team up and work towards one goal, either in pairs, small teams of three or four, or even two teams head on.

Boot Camps are fun, engaging, fast moving, effective and work because they provide social
support for those taking part. People make friends and socialize as they exercise,
although how strict the Trainers or drill instructors in charge can be will depend on
the company running the show.

Members of fitness boot camps are usually tested for
fitness on Day 1 and then retested at the end of Camp, which usually runs for between 4-6 weeks.

How is AZ Outdoor Fitness different from traditional boot camps?
- This will not be your high school track work out!
- Resistance training with dumb bells is incorporated into each workout along with body weight exercises.
- Programs are adapted to each person’s level of fitness or any physical restrictions they may have.
- AZ Outdoor Fitness is an on going group personal training. There are no start and end dates, each individual can start their 4 week session any time and continue as long as they desire.
- Because AZ Outdoor Fitness sessions are not 4 week classes that continually start over participants are continually given more challenging workouts based on the individual’s improving fitness levels.
- If desired body fat levels and measurements can be taken to track progress. The biggest testimony to your progress will be how much better your clothes fit!
- Nutrition is discussed during workouts and via email. Clean eating is just as important as the workouts to see quick results.
Everyone who joins a Boot Camp and sticks with it will see marked improvements in strength,
endurance and stamina.
